The World Bank is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Education Specialist, based in Beijing, China.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Education Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Support education sector operations and knowledge tasks in China, working jointly with other World Bank team members, clients, and development partners (DPs) that actively support the improvement of the country’s education sector performance.
- Provide day to day operational support and interact with the government on operational aspects of the projects.
- Support the team leads based in Beijing and Washington in the interaction with clients at policy level.
- Participate in partnership activities on a regular basis, with multilateral and bilateral development partners, non-profit organizations and civil society.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Post-graduate degree with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an area relevant to human development work, such as education, economics, public policy or related social science fields.
- General Social Sector Knowledge and Analytical Skills.
- Knowledge in operations and analytical works in education sector in China and demonstrates ability to work with representatives of the government and non-government partners.
- Up-to-date knowledge and excellent understanding of education policy in China.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as ability to follow guidance from the team lead Strong communication skills, both written and oral in Chinese, and advance proficiency in English.
