CARE is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Finance Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Finance Analyst will be responsible for valuation, accounting and reporting, reconciliation and analysis of revenues and expenses related to CARE’s domestic fund raising operations.
CARE’s mission is to serve individuals and families in the poorest communities in the world.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Finance Analyst will perform the following functions-
- Responsible for the revenue accounting of contributions and reconciliation of committed with received and coordinates with the appropriate department i.e. Fundraising & Marketing and Shared Service Center (SSC) to resolve any discrepancy or issue.
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of various financial reports.
- Manages physical deposits from grants, private donations including managing private gifts receivable in coordination with the Shared service center.
- Customer service – Interacts with Fundraising, Programs, and SSC to resolve issues related to donor receipts, cash gifts, private donations etc.
- Perform finance and accounting functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accountancy.
- CPA or Advanced degree in lieu of some relevant experience considered.
- At least 5 years progressive and proven skills in the department/division within the organization.
- 5-7 years progressive relevant work experience in accounting, financial analysis and financial management required.
- Proven ability to use analytical tools.
- Demonstrated record of accuracy.
- Ability to construct financial reports drawn from database with proper reconciliation aspects to control totals.
- Ability to work at detailed level.
- Ability to work on teams.
- Proven problem solving skills.
- Good communication skills (oral and writing skills (English)).
- Excellent service orientation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
