Palladium is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Finance and Operations Officer in Accra, Ghana.
The Finance and Operations Officer will be responsible for assisting the RR, Senior F&O Manager, and Administrative/Logistics Assistant to manage and direct the finance, accounting and financial administration and reporting of the project

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Finance and Operations Officer will perform the following functions-
- Ensure that appropriate finance systems are maintained, separation of duties documented, and that all procedures and controls are implemented.
- Ensure that all transactions are properly accounted for with all supporting documentation.
- Manage bank accounts, and the transfer of money between the head-office, country offices, and consultants and/or partner organizations in countries with no Futures office.
- Monitor cash flow, 3-month forecast, and ensure that sufficient funds are always available in the bank and in cash.
- Prepare the monthly financial voucher expense reports at the end of each month.
- Monitors the local bank balance and complete the monthly cash forecast by cost element for all program under the West Africa office oversight.
- Provides any other financial information, as requested, and respond to any other financial queries.
- Ensure appropriate employment taxes are paid to appropriate country agencies.
- Keep personnel files updated.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and other financial reports as needed.
- Supervise the reconciliation of travel advances on a monthly basis.
- Prepare mini budgets for program activities and ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of funds.
- Performing any other responsibilities as may be directed.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Relevant bachelor’s degree required, masters and/or CPA preferred.
- 1-2 years of Finance and Operations Officer experience, preferably with USAID-funded project.
- Experience with USAID contracting and assistance award mechanisms preferred.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong financial, analytical and/or evaluative skills.
- Problem-solving, decision-making and good judgment skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities often within a required timeframe.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Well-developed and effective organizational skills, including to ability to multi-task, and work in a high-pressured environment.
- Sound understanding / experience in administration and logistics management.
- Good written and verbal communication, liaison and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in French and English required.
