Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Finance Manager in Kenya.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the analysis of financial performance of Project Companies, in the various sectors.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will perform the following functions-
- Ensure all Project Companies reports (weekly, monthly and quarterly) are submitted timely and are of high standard of quality.
- Review flash reports and management accounts to provide analysis and interpret financial data for purposes of determining financial performance.
- Review Project Companies’ performance against budgets, set key performance indicators in liaison with the project company managers, evaluate adequacy of the working capital and query project companies where there are significant variances against set bench marks.
- Prepare monthly & quarterly group reports and ensure these are submitted to Head office as per the set deadlines.
- Review of the Project Companies quarterly reports ensuring accuracy and completeness and submission to Head office as per the set deadlines.
- Drive and coordinate the annual budget process for IPS including supporting the project companies in the preparation of accurate annual budgets.
- Provide financial support to the project companies on any gaps and enhance respective financial reporting.
- Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis.
- Monitor new projects expenditure against project budgets and project plans and query project companies where there are significant variances.
- Interpret financial transactions and events for purposes of making business decisions.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelors’ Degree in Commerce or Business Administration from a recognized university.
- Professional qualification in accounting CPA (K) or ACCA or equivalent.
- 7 or more years experience preferably gained in a similar capacity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines with multiple tasks.
