United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Financial Specialist in Kuwait.
Finance Director is seeking the support of a financial specialist to conduct internal audit, review and provide technical advice in all matters relevant to the financial operations.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Financial Specialist will perform the following functions-
- View of all of the GSSCPD, CSB and CSC’s financial decisions and contracts and final balance to ensure their full alignment with the laws, rules and the financial regulations of the State of Kuwait.
- Audit all financial administrative decisions to ensure that the expenditures are within the limits of the budgeted funds and is spent on its intended purpose.
- Review all recruitment contracts, administrative decisions on deployment tasks, the formation of task forces, committees and commissioning of additional work outside office hours (overtime) at GSSCPD to ensure its alignment with the states rules and regulations.
- Review the report of the Ministry of Finance’s Auditors on the financial conduct and operations of GSSCPD and their responses to it; and to report to the Finance Director on both of the auditors’ report and the responses.
- Review and report to the Finance Director on the initial and final audit reports of State Audit Bureau’s on the GSSCPD financial conduct; and to audit the entities responses to it.
- Develop and implement a capacity building plan for the relevant staff of the financial department at GSSCPD.
- Produce assessment report on the status quo of the financial operations of GSSCPD, with recommendations for its improvement.
- Develop action plan to implement the assessment recommendation.
- Produce monthly progress report.
- Any other assignment relevant to the consultancy as requested by finance director.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor in Accounting, Finance; A higher degree will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in financial audit and financial management.
- Experience in preparing and evaluating governmental contracts and reports.
- Familiarity with Kuwait financial and monitory Law and regulations.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
