The Global Poverty Project is currently inviting applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Administrative Assistant based in New York.
Global Poverty Project is an international education and advocacy organization working towards the end of extreme poverty by 2030, best known as the curators of the Global Citizen content, events and campaigning platform.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant will perform the following functions-
- Providing administrative and office support to staff
- Database maintenance
- Scanning / Printing / Filing
- Supervises the maintenance and alteration of office areas and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement and housekeeping of office facilities.
- Scheduling and organizing complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities
- Acting as a liaison with outside agencies
- Typing and designing general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc.
- Participates as needed in special department projects.
- Supervising interns and volunteers as needed
- Assisting with the ongoing operational management of the office, including overseeing the ordering of furniture, equipment, and supplies, working with building management, etc.;
- Assisting with new employee onboarding and integration;
- Promoting a positive, collaborative work environment by assisting management team organize and host team-building activities and initiatives
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, and follow-through, as well as strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to handle confidential information and projects with professionalism and discretion
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including excellent editing skills and experience taking meeting minutes
- Solution-driven and ability to proactively spot and solve issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good working knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Good working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Google mail, or a recognised ability to work with technology
- Friendly, flexible, confident
