Greenpeace International is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Assistant to the Program Director in Toronto, Canada.

Key Jobs Responsibility
The Assistant to the Program Director will perform the following functions-
- Providing administrative support to the Program Director and assuming overall responsibility for the overall administration of the Programs Department.
- Assisting in the organization of meetings including scheduling, booking venues, making travel arrangements, and preparing documentation.
- Taking the minutes and managing meeting outcomes of the Program Management Team meetings.
- Assisting in budget preparation, monitoring and reporting for the Programs Department including expense claims, invoices, and contracts for consultants and temporary staff.
- Providing project management support to key initiatives as assigned by the Director of Programs.
- Conducting research, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing various reports and documents, including board reports, MoUs, project evaluations.
- Supporting the Director of Programs in staff movement and resource allocation for the implementation of national and global projects.
- Other responsibilities as required.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated judgment and analytical skills.
- Experience in an administrative role at an executive level including organizational, logistical, strategic planning and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects/tasks at one time in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
- Fluency in English, proficiency in French.
- Strong computer skills and social media fluency.
- A knowledge and passion for environment and social justice issues; knowledge of Greenpeace’s values, mission and overall objectives.
