Global Communities is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Chief of Party in Ukraine.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Chief of Party will perform the following functions-
- Responsible for project activities and staff, technical leadership, and administrative oversight of the program.
- Manage a team of senior staff and sub-partners and ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency of all products and activities generated under the project and be the principal institutional liaison to USAID.
- Global Communities representative to USAID, local governments and partners.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- A Master’s degree or higher in public policy, public administration, political science, law, international development, or in a closely related field is required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in local governance strengthening or related fields required. Regional or experience in Ukraine is preferred.
- Successful track record in supervising, designing, managnging and implementing donor-funded technical assistance projects for local governance strengthening.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and work on a multi-partner team; local government, civic leaders, business people and international donors.
- Professional level English ability both written and oral. Ukrainian and Russian communication skills preferred.
- At least 5 years experience as a Chief of Party/Country Director or equivalent leadership position managing a USAID or U.S. Government funded program of equivalent size and scope.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in managing donor-funded programs addressing improvement of local government performance, capacity building, public administration, decentralization, government accountability, citizen participation, and/or other related areas.
- Experience forging and strengthening relationships with government counterparts, local organizations, and other donor organizations required.
- Experience in gender integration and social inclusion of women, youth, ethnic and religious minorities, and other marginalized communities.
- Experience in Ukraine and/or Eastern Europe highly preferred.
