Creative Associates International is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Country Director in N’Djamena, Chad.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Country Director performs the following functions-
- Leads and manages implementation of the program.
- Renders technical services related to youth empowerment, media and outreach, civil society strengthening and local governance.
- Ensures program interventions contribute directly the established Performance Management Plan and annual work plans and are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the technical development, implementation, and oversight of all grants (Fixed Obligation and In-Kind) in support of program interventions.
- Manages international and local implementing partners, including budgets, project deliverable, procurement, and staff assigned to the project at the national and regional levels.
- Manages the country budget, ensuring all program, operational, and administrative expenditures adhere to policies and procedures.
- Builds capacity of staff through coaching, formal and informal training, and performance management.
- Recruits, manages and motivates an informed, skilled and efficient team; conducts regular capacity and team building exercises.
- Manages security and safety of the team and field office/s supported by necessary systems and training.
- Ensures proper internal controls are established and maintained in accordance with policies and procedures and relevant USAID rules and regulations.
- Articulates program goals, objectives and strategies to team members, local and international partners, and project stakeholders, including USG and other donors.
- Displays cultural sensitivity in developing internal and external relationships and networks.
- Builds support among stakeholders for the project, to include headquarters and regional staff, international and local NGOs, government officials, vendors, media and the general public.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Affairs or related field.
- USAID funded programs involving small-scale construction.
- 8+ years managing USAID funded programs with emphasis on youth development, media programming, vocational training, civil society and local government capacity building.
- Long term work experience in one of the following: countering violent extremism, community governance, Muslim outreach, youth issues, and regional experience in West Africa.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, International Affairs or related field.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Fluency in Arabic, More, or Fulani.
