John Snow, Inc. (JSI) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Deputy Chief of Party in Accra, Ghana.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Deputy Chief of Party will perform the following functions-
- Responsible for management, oversight and mentoring of technical teams and for ensuring linkage and communication between the technical, financial and operations teams.
- Provide strategic direction to the project, setting and attaining goals and work plans for implementation.
- Oversee supervision of community service delivery by CSOs, retaining overall accountability and responsibility.
- Maintain consistent contact with and among all partners (including USAID, GOG, civil society, private sector) to ensure stakeholders are updated on project progress.
- Manage knowledge management activities, in coordination with the COP.
- Serve as leader/member of Project Senior Management Team.
- Directly supervise the Technical Lead/Advisor of Continuum of Care, the Institutional and Technical Strengthening Advisor, the Director of Finance and Operations, and the Kumasi Regional Manager.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Minimum Master’s Degree in public health, international development, business or public administration, public policy or relevant field of study.
- Minimum ten years senior level experience in direct provision of HIV and AIDS services and/or facilitation of technical strengthening activities involving civil society, public sector or private sector in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Experience with local community-based organizations is strongly desired.
- Proven expertise in business operations, systems development, strategic planning and management, governance, grants management, and/or leadership development.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated experience in building strong working partnerships with senior-level government representatives, civil society organizations, other donors and local private sector.
- Exceptional communication skills (including presentations) in written and spoken English required.
- Previous experience with PEPFAR or USAID-funded health program preferred.
- Relevant experience in sub-Saharan Africa strongly preferred; Ghana experience desirable.
