Palladium is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Domestic Resource Mobilization Advocacy Consultant in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Domestic Resource Mobilization Advocacy Consultant will produce a report with the activities conducted to different stakeholders and the proposed areas for funding under the LGA and the parliamentarians.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Regional Health Advisor will perform the following functions-
- Work with HPP team and select the districts to engage for advocacy in 2016/2017 budget cycle.
- Travel and organizing meetings with LGA and discuss their budgets and advocate for the increase in health sector.
- Translate the briefs and other advocacy materials to Swahili for ease in communication with different stakeholders.
- Conduct LGAs budget analysis to review what has been budgeted for and advise on areas that can be re-allocated to other prioritized health services.
- Work with the HPP team and CSOs to engage the parliamentarian committees in discussion of the areas for funding for 2016/2017.
- Prepare reports and document all the activities conducted.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Graduate Degree in Social Sciences/degree in Administration.
- Familiarity with the Health, HIV/AIDS and Financing Mechanisms, Budgets and Health and HIV/AIDS Budget Processes (At least 3 years of experience in this field).
- Experience in advocacy on different issues on health to different stakeholders who are either decision makers or policy makers.
- Experience in engaging Tanzanian Parliamentarians and other key opinion leaders around key health issues, especially on financing.
- Significant knowledge of Government of Tanzania planning and budgeting processes.
- Fluency in English and Swahili required.
- Knowledge of relevant literature related to topic area.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for high-level policy audiences.
