United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Human Resources Assistant in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible to plan, coordinate and manage General Service recruitments and other related HR functions within the recruitment unit.
UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, good water and sanitation, quality basic education for all boys and girls, and the protection of children from violence, exploitation, and AIDS.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Human Resources Assistant will perform the following functions-
- Supports the office’s administrative and technical needs for fixed term and temporary staff in the general service category by implementing and administering effective and timely recruitment procedures.
- Ensure organizational targets (geographic distribution, gender, etc.) are met while not compromising on the recruitment and retention of staff of the highest caliber.
- Work closely with hiring managers and supervisors in the recruitment process to ensure integrity and merit in all selection procedures while supporting the needs of managers and goals of diversity.
- Promote equity, transparency and consistency in the selection and placement of staff.
- Maintain, monitor and generate recruitment management reports highlighting gaps and trends and patterns.
- Prepare and conduct recruitment campaigns, populate talent groups and general service rosters to support Supply Division’s responses to general operations and emergencies related to human resources needs.
- Conduct timely and effective feedback sessions for applicants, maintaining and monitoring tracking records of feedback activities.
- Facilitate timely and effective training programs related to Career Development and Competency based Interviews to managers and supervisees to support the capacity building and career development of all staff.
- Conduct coaching and career counseling for staff as and when needed.
- Supports the review of Supply Division’s recruitment needs and identify outreach/sourcing approaches.
- Conduct Exit Interviews with separating staff and report on issues and trends.
- Act as Subject matter expert for the recruitment talent management suite providing training for managers and applicants and responding to queries.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and knowledge to effectively interpret staff rules/regulations and established guidelines to ensure compliance in the area of HR.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Secondary Education in addition to university courses in HR Management is required.
- Additional HR certification is an asset.
- Six years of progressively relevant experience in Human Resources is required.
- Experience in conducting and facilitating HR workshops is an asset.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of Danish language is an asset.
