United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Monitoring Specialist in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Monitoring Specialist will work in close collaboration with UNICEF Country Offices (COs), Government counterparts and other developmental partners.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Monitoring Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Support the EVM improvement planning within the Hub:
- Develop and implement templates and guidance materials to support comprehensive Effective Vaccine Management (cEVM) Improvement Planning for immunization supply chains.
- Contribute to the development of cEVM Improvement Plans at the country level.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of data generated from EVM assessments at country and/or global levels and report on findings.
- Document lessons learned from cEVM improvement planning and implementation.
- Establish a common monitoring dashboard on EVM assessments and results.
- Support country level monitoring of the immunization supply chains for Gavi-eligible countries:
- Develop and implement a strategy and/or framework including templates for country level stock and pipeline monitoring and reporting of vaccines.
- Support the rollout of ViVa and other stock monitoring tools for country level immunization supply chain.
- Support the implementation and rollout of immunization supply chain dashboards and indicators for Gavi-eligible countries.
- Participate in global and regional south-south events, technical working groups, and knowledge platforms to help facilitate the sharing of information and evidence in all areas of responsibility to strengthen government supply chains.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- A completed Advanced University Degree (Master’s Degree), preferably in Statistics, Public Health, Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain management, Social Sciences or related field.
- An undergraduate university degree combined with seven years of relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a master’s degree if the candidate can demonstrate high level of experience working in either field of monitoring, knowledge management, supply chain management, logistics, project management plus strong history of engagement with stakeholders.
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in private or public sector at national and international level in monitoring, project management, statistics or information management systems including at least two years at international level is required.
- Familiarity with the public health context in developing countries is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in another UN language is an asset.
