Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Operations Senior Analyst in Guyana.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Operations Senior Analyst performs the following functions-
- Participates in the design of operations supporting the preparation of project documents and monitoring project approval timelines.
- Supports the preparation of drafts of project profiles and operational plans for technical cooperation projects.
- Assists in institutional capacity and risk analyses, preparation of project budgets, results frameworks and supports the development of fiduciary plans for execution.
- Provides technical support on the application of Bank operational policies and processes throughout the project execution and preparation of annual operating and execution plans, procurement plans, disbursement requests and other project documentation.
- Supports the preparation of project supervision plans, monitoring and results reports, and follows up on their recommendations.
- Assists in the review of terms of reference ensuring that project activities are consistent with procurement and annual operating plans; in the review of procurement bidding documents and consultant contracts to ensure conformity with Bank policies; in verifying compliance of products and services with agreed standards, and in the preparation of draft communications to executing agencies accordingly.
- Supports the Sector and Fiduciary Specialists on technical, fiduciary and administration visits to executing agencies, and follows up on recommendations from these visits.
- Coordinates the organization of project-related missions and workshops.
- Maintains sector and fiduciary files and systems updated.
- Monitors disbursement projections in close coordination with the Sector and Fiduciary Specialists.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering or similar studies.
- Master’s degree in the above mentioned fields or Certification in Project Management would be an asset.
- Experience At least three years of relevant professional experience, in administration of projects financed by multilateral development institutions or other external donors is preferred.
- Knowledge of national procurement policies, norms or practices and experience in writing reports.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English as well as knowledge of a second Bank language (Spanish, French or Portuguese) are also required. Language skills will be tested.
- Nationality of Guyana or those with a valid work permit for Guyana at the time of application are eligible.
