The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Program Assistant in San Francisco, California, US.
The Program Assistant work with the Oceans team in SF office, providing administrative support to the Oceans Program in a variety of capacities including invoice and expense reporting.
NRDC’s purpose is to safeguard the Earth: its people, its plants and animals and the natural systems on which all life depends.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Program Assistant will perform the following functions-
- Complete expense reports, process invoices, track expenditures and budgets Schedule meetings, conference calls, and retreats.
- Handle travel arrangements, including international travel.
- Proofread, fact-check, edit, research and assist in preparation of policy, legal, technical documents, factsheets, reports, blogs, fundraising proposals Maintain library of factsheets, reports and videos
- Format and file court papers, maintain litigation docket files.
- Assist in the production of reports and other outreach materials.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- 1-2 years previous administrative experience required .
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to function independently for significant periods of time, as well as to be a team player.
- Capability of following instructions carefully and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize and balance competing demands in a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Close attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately and with composure under deadline pressure.
- Willingness to be available for occasional overtime work.
- Interest in environmental issues a plus.
