UN Women is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Programme Associate in Chisinau, Moldova. The duration for the post is of 10 months.
The Programme Associate will be responsible to support timely and synergetic implementation of the UN Women Strategic Note and its action plans in line with the corporate guidelines, rules and regulations.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Programme Associate will perform the following functions-
- Support in the formulation of Programme Strategies.
- Programme Management Support.
- Administrative and Financial Management Support to the Programme Unit.
- Facilitation of Knowledge Building and Knowledge Sharing.
- Collect and present background information for the preparation of effective application of Results Based Management tools.
- Provide support in drafting project documents, work plans, budgets, proposals on implementation arrangements, partners’ assessment, drafting minutes of the meetings, drafting agendas, Terms of Reference, concept notes.
- Provision of guidance to the UN Women partner agencies and project teams on routine implementation of projects, tracking use of resources and quality control.
- Provide support to the Programe Unit on projects’ management and oversight.
- Assemble briefing materials and prepare power-point and other presentations for the programme unit.
- Provide support in preparation of progress/annual reports by providing inputs to and collecting those form programme colleagues.
- Provide support for preparation and conduct of audit of NGO projects, implementation of audit recommendations, if needed.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University degree in Business, Public Administration, Programme/Project Management, International Development, Human Rights or in the field of social sciences or other relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with programmes/projects or related experience in development filed, including administrative.
- Substantive knowledge of and experience on gender equality and women’s empowerment will be considered a strong advantage.
- Knowledge in the concept and application of Results-Based Management (RBM) to programme/project cycle will represent an asset.
- Experience in data analysis is a strong asset.
- Experience in the UN system, agencies and international organizations are an asset.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web based management systems.
- Excellent knowledge of and a good knowledge of English and Russian (written and spoken) is required.
- Fluency in Romanian.
- Working knowledge of one or more additional languages relevant for Moldova, including Bulgarian, Gagauzian, and Romani, Ukrainian or sign language would be an asset.
- Nationality of Moldova.
