Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Project Officer in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
The Project Officer will work under the guidance of the Head of Center and under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator and in close co-operation with the Center’s Chief of Financial Administration (CFA) and the staff of the Finance and Administration Unit (FAU).
OSCE has a comprehensive approach to security that encompasses politico-military, economic and environmental, and human aspects.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Project Officer will perform the following functions-
- The Co-ordination with Host Government: Liaising with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to co-ordinate communications between the RI-CBM stakeholders in order to facilitate adequate information flow, including timely and accurate reporting of activities, and to record the activities of the sub-working groups.
- The Project Set-up: Overseeing and coordinating the activities connected to procurement, asset management, and logistical, financial and administrative issues. Negotiating the donations of equipment to local Government.
- The Project Reporting: Monitoring project implementation through review of interim financial and programmatic progress reports prepared by the Project Assistant, consolidating and preparing final progress reports for the senior management and Secretariat; ensuring that donors’ and financial requirements are met.
- Organizing and supervising the work of the Project Assistant.
- Undertaking an effort to engage with the “supporter countries” listed in the Chapter “Background and Justifications” of the Project Proposal document to explore the possibility of funding for RI-CBM activities.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University education in public/business administration, management, finance, personnel management or related field or proven professional experience in all aspects of general administration (personnel finance, etc.).
- Very good organizational skills.
- Excellent physical condition.
- Possession of a valid automobile driving license and ability to drive using manual transmission.
- Ability to cope with physical hardship and willingness to work extra hours and in an environment with limited infrastructure.
