The International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Field Assistant in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Duration for this post is of 1 year.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Senior Field Assistant will perform the following functions-
- Collect data from diarrheal patients by using portable device like TAB in different selected hospitals in Dhaka city; Consenting the study patient; Take information during household visit; Manage data with TAB and upload/download in server; Update Record Management System; Escalate issues / discrepancies to the Supervisor; Take corrective action as directed by supervisor in order to retrieve data for further use in the research activity.
- Prepare card for the study participants; distribute the prepared cards among the participants as per the log book; Receive the logistics (i.e. Vaccine career, cold box, chair, table and waste-bag) related to Vaccines Delivery from the Head Office/ Field Site Office; Transport the logistics to the Vaccines Sites in order to enable the Vaccination properly.
- Keep records of every single activity related to the Vaccine Delivery; Organize and send the forms, master list, different reports to the Data Management Unit; Organize and preserve different official papers and office records; Seek advice from the Supervisor in case of any problem; Escalate difficult cases to the Supervisor to find out a solution in order to maintain an effective filing and documentation for further use of records and verifications.

- Salary – Annual Tk. 2, 30,220/- inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances with other admissible benefits.
- 8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,420/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- HSC pass or equivalent.
- 03 year of experience in relevant field.
- Knowledge on Ethical Guidelines.
- Knowledge of Data Collection Method.
- Knowledge of Managing Biological Sample.
- Knowledge of Field Activity Management.
- Must have organizational and financial awareness.
- Able to execute for results.
- Must have innovative thinking skill.
- Can communicate collaboratively.
- Able to build effective teams.
