The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Fintech Industry Specialist, based in Washington DC, USA.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Senior Fintech Industry Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Support the Fintech Head to develop and implement the strategy and business plan for the Fintech Group.
- Develop a strong pipeline of good quality Fintech investment opportunities by anticipating market trends and employing sector knowledge.
- Collaborate in developing sector vertical and support related promotion work, including building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to further develop the sector and to develop specific investment opportunities.
- Evaluate, help to structure and negotiate, and close new transactions, portfolio restructurings, right issues, equity sales, etc.
- Co-lead project teams, mentor and develop junior staff.
- Pro-actively participate to the development and effective sharing and institutionalization of industry knowledge and lessons from experience.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- At least 8-12 years of successful Investment track record (preferably mostly or largely in emerging markets), of which at least five years focusing on equity investments.
- At least 5 years of investment experience in Fintech, and a good understanding of the industry.
- Strong business development and client relationship skills, track record and ability to focus on clients needs effectively. Strong sense of service to clients and demonstrated business development attitude
- Strong business acumen, ability to screen quickly risks and propose best-fit structures.
- Ability to interact directly and independently with the senior management of potential clients.
- Strong financial and credit skills in equity type of transactions.
- Highly motivated, committed to highest ethical standards.
- Strong inter-personal skills, ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and fluency in another language is a plus.
