World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Specialist Major Giving Programmes in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland. The duration for the post if of 12 months.
The Senior Specialist Major Giving Programmes will influence and shape major and mid-level fundraising programme development across the Network through professional fundraising capacity-building.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Senior Specialist Major Giving Programmes will perform the following functions-
- Lead key stakeholders from across the Network to develop a global major giving framework, strategy, timeline and comprehensive long-range plan and metrics to maximize major gifts from private support to WWF.
- Create and maintain active and ongoing engagement with major and mid-level donor fundraisers globally through virtual communities, including sharing internal and external information, organizing and hosting webinars, training and skill-shares, and presenting; consulting, advising, mentoring and coaching staff globally at different levels of experience.
- Support global fundraising initiatives including helping to develop cases for support, organizing or participating in global planning meetings, coordinating NO efforts, facilitating cross-border major donor fundraising strategies to engage ‘global’ HNWI.
- Consult with the large major donor fundraising programmes within in the Network, including prospect identification, strategy development, and creation of proposal and reporting protocols.
- Stay current on latest thinking and trends in major donor fundraising that will contribute to WWF’s global fundraising expertise; write and source articles; encourage the uptake of best practices in philanthropy, including external benchmarking.
- Develop best practice and uniform fundraising protocols and guidelines, metrics and reporting tools across the Network.
- Coordinate internal projects, working with a diverse team of senior and experienced executives, as appropriate and required.
- Represent WWF externally, personally and virtually, with other NGO’s, global entities, at conferences, and in any other way as appropriate and required.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University degree and/or level of operating skill acquired through experience.
- Experience (6+ years) in management of major donor programmes, including hands-on experience and success in planning, analyzing and reporting on, developing and delivering successful major donor and revenue, identifying key success indicators and setting and justifying benchmarks for performance.
- Successful experience securing complex six-to-seven-figure major gifts, preferably multi-year commitments.
- Experience of managing a fundraising team and initiating and executing a fundraising plan.
- Great personal skills and ability to gain trust and form strong relationships; experience maintaining strong working relationships with senior leaders to practitioners.
- High level of understanding and experience in intercultural working; experience working on complex projects with a virtual team across borders and time zones.
