Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Team Leader will perform the following functions-
- Ability to build rapport with key government institutions, non-state actors and private sector organizations, driving delivery and influencing decision making and efforts throughout the life cycle of this programme.
- Managing a team of international experts skilled in urban economic development.
- Building successful urban development programmes across the developing world.
- Working within Kenya and understand the complexities around national and county level of authority.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- An advanced university degree (or equivalent) in the fields of economics, public policy, business administration, or other relevant.
- Extensive experience in the field of urban development and planning with a strong focus on secondary cities and towns.
- Substantial managerial experience leading an international team of experts.
- Ability to build rapport with national and local governmental officials, maintaining longstanding working relationships.
- Working knowledge of DFID’s approaches to market development, and experience in supporting programme design.
- Knowledge and experience of delivering DFID programmes, including ensuring value for money throughout the project lifecycle.
- Knowledge and experience working in Tanzania with a good understanding of political and economic context.
