World Vision (WV) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Violence Prevention & Child Protection Expert in Guatemala – Central/South America. The duration for the post is of 2 years.
The Violence Prevention & Child Protection Expert’s work is to develop highly specialized proposals for Violence Prevention and Child Protection for Young People aimed at public and private cooperation institutions, ensuring the development of the market intelligence process and the development of high quality products.

Key Jobs Responsibility
The Violence Prevention & Child Protection Expert will perform the following functions-
- Lead the proposal development team.
- Facilitate the proposal development workshop.
- Draft the technical proposal and ML.
- Direct the drafting and verification of the budget and the budget narrative.
- Quality assurance of the inputs provided by other units.
- Ensure that all attachments are compiled.
- Direct and coordinate the recruitment process for positions essential to the proposal.
- Conclude the proposal cycle with an analysis of the process and the outcome.
- Participate and make contributions at Change Theory/Technical Framework development workshops.
- Draft programmatic framework adaptation document summarizing the adaptation in the appropriate format for use as positioning and “sales” tool with donors.
- Lend support to and advise the NO on market intelligence and opportunities: e.g., assist in scanning websites such as grants.gov, and interact with counterpart donor technicians.
- Participate in spiritual enrichment activities.
- Ensure the integration of crosscutting issues and organizational initiatives in your assigned programming.
- Participate in emergency relief efforts under the Organization’s guidelines within your area of influence and beyond, if so assigned.
- Read, understand, and implement institutional policies, focusing on child protection-related policies.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Graduation in economics and/or administrative and social sciences and legislation.
- Master’s Degree in Project Development, Economics, Social Sciences, reconciliation, and peace building.
- At least seven years’ work as a professional in the field of Project Management.
- Experience in Violence Prevention and Child Protection programme and project development, as well as strategic planning and implementation.
- Extensive experience in Theoretical and Technical Framework Development.
- Extensive knowledge about the major grant donors – deep knowledge of and experience with USAID, USDOL, IDB, and/or EU preferred.
- Work experience in executive positions at relevant donor agencies or government entities preferred. Work experience with multidisciplinary teams.
- In negotiations with partners and/or donors.
- Knowledge of the socio-economic context in the countries.
