Cardno is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Gender Strategy Adviser in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Gender Strategy Adviser will identify opportunities for MAHKOTA to demonstrate progress in addressing gender equality in Indonesia over the next four years.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Gender Strategy Adviser will perform the following functions-
- Hold pre-arrival telephone briefing/s with the MAHKOTA team.
- Background literature review on gender issues in Indonesia, and addressing gender equality through social protection.
- Review of PRSF’s materials and tools on mainstreaming gender equality.
- Consider how to best utilize and/or develop tools such as the 2014 TNP2K Gender Analysis of the Unified Database report.
- Review the MAHKOTA quality assurance process and identify how best to integrate gender dimensions.
- Produce a comprehensive report setting out the findings.
- Mentor and support the MAHKOTA Gender and Social Inclusion Adviser (if in place by April 2016).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Masters degree in gender studies, social development, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in developing gender strategies for policy initiatives, with a track record of recommendations being implemented.
- Expert knowledge of social protection systems, highly desirable.
- In-depth understanding of gender opportunities in Indonesia, highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to deliver high quality reports on time.
- Demonstrated ability to work sensitively in a complex, cross cultural operating environment.
