The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of International Consultant Agriculture for Resilience and Inclusive and Sustainable Growth, based in Guinea-Bissau.
UNDP works in more than 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion.
Key Job Responsibilities
The International Consultant will perform the following functions-
- Assess the role of agriculture in the economy and its role in promoting inclusive growth and building the resilience of the population;
- Identify obstacles and major challenges for poverty reduction and building resilience of the rural population;
- Illustrate how microfinance can contribute positively to improve the financing of agriculture in order to promote an improvement in the living conditions of the poor.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- At least a Master’s degree in economics, economic or agro related disciplines;
- 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of rural development;
- Excellent knowledge of Portuguese and Frances.
