Abt Associates is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Associate / Program Manager in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Associate / Program Manager will coordinate the implementation of the Cote d’Ivoire program, a two-year effort under the Trade Africa Initiative.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Associate / Program Manager will perform the following functions-
- Provide overall management support to the field team and the project in Cote d’Ivoire.
- Assure the timely delivery of assistance under the work plan, coordinating day-to-day activities in Cote d’Ivoire and with senior technical staff in Accra.
- Collaborate with a diverse professional team, including project personnel, subcontractors, and technical consultants.
- Coordinate with the DCOP in Accra to spend according to plan and assure compliance with USAID regulations.
- In consultation with the Communications Team, assure clear communications with clients and stakeholders about project activities and accomplishments.
- Coordinate with monitoring and evaluation staff in Accra to assure timely and well-documented data collection, analysis, and reporting in support of the performance management plan.
- Under the guidance of the COP, represent Abt and the project to USAID and in public settings.
- Identify main threats that could affect the quality of the program, their potential impacts and inform the Accra office.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- MA/MBA in business, finance and investment, or related field with 10 years of experience.
- MA/MBA with 7 – 10 years of experience OR PhD with 4 – 6 years of experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five to ten years of progressively responsible experience in international development, ideally in finance and investment, export promotion, with supervisory experience.
- Experience with USAID (highly desired) or other similar donor programs, ideally interacting directly with the donor regarding programmatic, strategic communications, and contractual issues.
- Fluency in English and French.
- Prior work experience in West Africa highly desired, ideally in Cote d’Ivoire or other francophone country.
- Excellent interpersonal, supervision, problem-solving, and coordination.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate cross-culturally and exhibit cultural sensitivity are essential.
