Relief International (RI) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Business and Marketing Advisor in Senegal.
Relief International is a humanitarian non-profit agency that provides emergency relief, rehabilitation, development assistance, and program services to vulnerable communities worldwide.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Business and Marketing Advisor will perform the following functions-
- Facilitate private and public sector linkages in WASH services, institutions, and systems.
- Supervision of technical implementation, program monitoring, evaluating, and reporting.
- Serve as a RI liaison to USAID and partners in the field, including government officials and community leaders.
- Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders in all aspects of project planning, monitoring, and implementation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Minimum of ten years of relevant professional experience required if applicant has received Ph.D., A.B.D., or J.D.
- Minimum of twelve years of relevant professional experience, if applicant has received M.S., M.A., or M.B.A.
- At least ten years of private sector and marketing sector expertise, especially in the Senegalese and local government context.
- Proven experience in undertaking activities aimed at developing the private and public sector actors to effectively engage or stimulate a thriving private sector, carry out Knowledge Attitudes and Practices survey or supply chain assessments, develop or improve supply chains, product and services.
- Experience in access to finance and work with microfinance institutions.
- At least a Master’s Degree in business, marketing or related technical field.
- Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written, to fulfill the technical and managerial responsibilities proposed.
- At least 10 years working experience in developing countries; experience in Senegal preferred.
- A track record of facilitating and/or managing innovative, high-quality WASH interventions.
- Knowledge of the pattern and contextual factors for WASH interventions in resource-poor and middle-income countries.
- Strong experience with monitoring and evaluation and communicating best practices preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing diverse teams.
- Experience working on multiple USAID or donor-funded projects including strong knowledge of USAID policies and regulations, preferably extensive contracts experience.
- Fluency in French and English (written and oral) is required.
- Experience implementing development programs preferably in West Africa.
