Creative Associates International is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Business Development Manager in Washington DC, United States.
The Business Development Manager will be the primary point of contact for capture teams during intelligence gathering assignments and will work closely with technical teams and partner organizations to develop and present top tier proposals.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager will perform the following functions-
- Support the Community in Transition Division’s capture and proposal development efforts in technical areas including elections, governance, community resilience, conflict mitigation, stabilization, and citizen security.
- Support the Community in Transition’s Business Development Director in his/her initiatives to prepare divisional targeting and new business strategies that align with the corporate Business Plan, and to ensure strategic marketing and positioning approaches by technical teams.
- Analyze client trends to incorporate into technical proposal responses.
- Analyze the quality of CIT’s capture and proposal development pursuits to identify trends and promote best practices in future pursuits.
- Assist in the design and delivery of internal training courses to advance the business development skills of CIT employees.
- Analyze competitive environment to determine competitiveness and support teaming strategy, leading to a more rigorous go/no go decision making process.
- Oversee the early intelligence gathering stages to qualify individual business development opportunities.
- Support the evaluation of an interview potential long term candidates for anticipated key personnel positions.
- Support internal requests for information related to CIT business development activities.
- Leads the capture and maintenance of knowledge management information for the Division; and.
- Uses knowledge management information to support Past Performance Reviews on proposal efforts.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s degree in international development or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in international development programming.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, USAID preferred.
- Significant prior experience implementing USAID-sponsored programming, particularly in conflict or post-conflict environments.
- Excellent written communications skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Group facilitation skills.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
- Strong representational skills.
- Prior experience in marketing, capture management and USAID proposal development.
- Experience in presenting before technical audiences.
- Successful experience leading or authoring proposals; and.
- Academic background in conflict-related subjects and related publishing.
