United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Field Coordination Officer in Qinghuangdao, China. The duration for the post is of 1 year.
The Field Coordination Officer will be responsible is focused on the coordination of key project activities within the Project Team and between the Project Team in Beijing and the Stakeholders in Qinhuangdao.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Project Officer performs the following functions-
- Provides assistance in support of the research, planning and implementation of the Industry Positioning Plan, Conceptual Plan and Business Development Plan.
- Researches, compiles, analyses, summarize, and present basic information/data on specific industry and related topics.
- Assists in the coordination of project planning and preparation; monitors status of /project proposals; takes necessary action to ensure project documents are completed and submitted to relevant parties for approval.
- Assists in the preparation and analysis of project activity budget proposals; provides assistance in the interpretation of budget guidelines; reviews and coordinates submissions of activity/events proposals and budget estimates, ensuring that requisite information is included and justified in terms of proposed activities; propose adjustments as necessary; prepares reports and ensures that outputs/services are properly categorized.
- Assists with the performance reporting; liaises with relevant parties on the interpretation of the activities/services scheduled in the work plan and various planning instruments such as the Inception plan, medium-term plan and internal work plans; provides assistance on reporting requirements, guidelines, rules and procedures and ensures completeness and accuracy of data submitted.
- Drafts project activity summaries, coordinates review and clearance process, and coordinates with editor, translation services, etc. on finalization and publication of report in dual languages.
- Drafts correspondence and communications related to all aspects of project administration, including work plan and budgets, revisions and other related issues, as well as prepares contributions for a variety of periodic reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Leader/Senior Project Management Officer.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Advanced University Degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Business Administration, Project Management, and Healthcare & Pharmaceutical, Senior living, Tourism, Insurance or other relevant discipline.
- A Bachelor Degree with a combination of 2 additional years of relevant professional experience will be accepted in lieu of a Master’s Degree.
- A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in project administration, technical cooperation or related area with focus on monitoring, reporting, and coordination in either public or private sector organizations.
- Good industry backgrounds related to Healthcare & Pharmaceutical, senior living or other related industries will be a plus.
- Minimum one year working experience in China.
- PRINCE2® Foundation/Prince2® Practitioner/PMP would be an asset.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to speak Chinese (Mandarin) will be an asset.
