Deadline: 6 August 2015
The Gunn Rural Management (GRM) International is currently accepting applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Market Development Consultant under the program called PRISMA, based in Indonesia.
The consultant will be required to prepare Growth Strategy Documents for three sub-sectors, in a standard template provided by the program.
GRM International is the global development management that partners with institutions, governments, and businesses worldwide to improve people’s quality of life.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Market Development Consultant will perform the following functions-
- Review the existing sector reports, intervention plans and intervention steering documents for each sub-sector; conduct a literature review of the sector to gain a background in the basic market dynamics.
- Work with a team of 2-3 PRISMA Business Consultants, Senior Business Consultants and Principle Business Consultants assigned to that sub-sector to outline the core elements of the market analysis (market map; key constraints and underlying causes, and opportunities for intervention); each group of PRISMA staff will be led by a Task Leader, who is responsible for the management of the co-facilitator intervention.
- Identify gaps in information or analysis on the sub-sector, and work with the assigned PRISMA team to obtain that information (this may include discussions or meetings directly with the cofacilitator partner).
- Compile sector findings and analysis in the GSD report format. The report should have enough information to guide the reader to understand the sector. It should have a clear logic leading to the identification of the interventions and should be finalised such that it can be presented to stakeholders inside and outside of PRISMA.
- Provide a draft of the GSD and short-summary to the Head of Portfolio and assigned PRISMA team.
- Undertake one set of revisions in response to any comments or queries raised by the Head of Portfolio and deliver the final GSD.
