Handicap International (HI) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Operation Coordinator for Development Projects in Erbil, Iraq. The duration for the post is of 19 months.
The Operation Coordinator for Development Projects will work under the direct management of the Head of Mission and will be in functional link with de DAD (Emergency division) at HQ.
HI is an independent charity working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster.
Key Jobs Responsibility
The Operation Coordinator for Development Projects will perform the following functions-
- Ensure the project management and the coordination between Handicap International (HI), HI’s partner, concerned authorities and other relevant disability stakeholders in order to ensure effective cooperation and projects implementation in the Iraqi complex environment.
- Develop and support a network of relevant stakeholder related to access to right and services of people with disabilities, especially in the rehabilitation field.
- Be in charge of the monitoring and reporting of the project activities. You will draw and update regularly the plan of action and a monitor system, report on the activities to the Head of Mission, DAD desk, Iraqi authorities and donors.
- Be responsible of the budget, administration and logistics management (ensure the smooth and efficient management of logistics and administration matters in coordination with the administration unit, ensure that HI procedures are respected by the staff members, assist the financial reporting).
- Ensure the Human resources management.
- Contribute to Iraq mission development.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have-
- A proven experience of at least 5 years including 2 years minimum in the humanitarian field and 2 years in coordination or senior management positions involving program strategic planning, monitoring/ evaluation and team-capacity-strengthening.
- An experience of high level representation with donors and ministries.
- Already managed a team of at least 3 to 4 direct line collaborators and have already worked with multicultural and pluri-disciplinary teams in various sectors.
- An experience in security management.
- Fluency in English.
