World Food Programme (WFP) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Data Analytics Consultant in Rome, Italy.
The WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Data Analytics Consultant will perform the following functions-
- Assist in the performance of audit procedures including country offices and HQ processes/thematic areas audit assignments.
- Develop and implement scripts for data analysis purposes and automate data validation efforts.
- Develop and implement formal procedures and standards for the core data analytics processes.
- Assist in the design, implementation and use of IT to help support the risk analysis, planning, working paper, and follow-up of the recommendations database processes.
- Maintain the Internal Audit data analytics IT environment.
- Perform special reviews and other tasks assigned by OIGA Management.
- Other related duties as required.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University degree in one of the following disciplines: Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistic or a related field At least 5 years of relevant progressively responsible experience as a data analyst.
- Experience with reporting packages, databases, programming, and visualization
- General knowledge of UN system policies, rules, regulations and procedures is considered a plus. Sound knowledge of auditing and data analysis principles and their application.
- Broad knowledge of financial matters.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets.
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
- Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages) is desirable.
