The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently accepting applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Project Officer, Policy Analyst/Researcher based in Manila, Philippines.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Project Officer, Policy Analyst/Researcher will perform the following functions-
- Lead in the development and pilot-testing of disaster preparedness audit program, putting in place an organized and comprehensive disaster preparedness at the national and local levels;
- Assist in the preparation of the Annual Work and Financial Plan (AWP);
- Support implementation and monitoring of the AWP;
- Assist in the preparation of project technical/physical accomplishment and financial reports;
- Provide advice to project partners to resolve implementing issues/concerns;
- Perform other functions related to the Project as may be assigned by the Project Manager from time to time;
- Assist the Project Manager in coordinating with resource persons in the review and assessment of DRRM/CCA management policies towards harmonizing/standardizing the latter, and in the capacity assessment and competency development of key national and local government agencies and LGUs;
- Help coordinate the conduct of DRRM/CCA policy review and assessment, and capacity assessment/competency development of target stakeholders and duty bearers;
- Support the Project Manager in organizing consultations with relevant national and local government agencies and other institutions;
- Assist in the generation and dissemination of knowledge products on DRRM/CCA; and
- Help ensure the documentation of lessons learned from the implementation of the Project.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University degree in social sciences, social work and development, public administration or other relevant fields;
- At least five (5) years of professional experience in conducting policy review and analysis, module development, DRRM/CCA trainings and project management;
- Applied knowledge on gender-responsive plans, policies, and programs, and familiarity with international standards;
- Fluency in the English and national language.
