United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Online Communications Specialist in Copenhagen, Denmark. The duration of this post is 1 year.
UNOPS mission is to serve people in need by expanding the ability of the United Nations, governments and other partners to manage projects, infrastructure and procurement in a sustainable and efficient manner.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Online Communications Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Lead the online communications team within the Communications and Partnerships Group.
- Support the development of team members.
- Develop and implement online aspects of the UNOPS communications strategy, covering all of UNOPS online communications platforms to address key audience groups.
- Coordinate online projects with other departments.
- Coordinate management of website content, focusing on looking for ways to improve how our website connects with our key audiences.
- Co-ordinate continuous website improvement focused on increased visibility and recognition of UNOPS in line with UNOPS communications strategy and brand guidelines.
- Continuously work to improve the website; conduct research, create site architecture recommendations, work with graphic designers and ICT team.
- Manage UNOPS presence on corporate social media accounts.
- Manage campaigns and updating of social media accounts with members of the communications team.
- Liaise with other UN agencies to participate on common social media campaigns.
- Develop social media policy and guidelines, in conjunction with UNOPS legal team.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master degree in relevant field of communications, online content management is required.
- Bachelor degree in combination with additional 2 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in communications, online content management and/or branding.
- Familiarity with digital media management software and analytic tools an advantage.
- Knowledge and understanding of audio visual material in a web context and experience in HTML editing is required.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of another UN language will be an advantage.
