International Organization for Migration (IOM) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Intern – Policy and Research in Geneva, Switzerland. The duration for the post is of 6 months.
The Intern will work under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Research and Coordination consultant, DOE.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Intern – Policy and Research will perform the following functions-
- Attending meetings and preparing clear and concise notes for circulation.
- Preparing focused research and strategic data and policy analysis.
- Supporting DOE’s preparation of social media and promotional material, including the creative design and layout external documents.
- Responding to requests on behalf of the department (collecting documents, supporting meeting preparations, background information, power-point presentation preparations etc).
- Consolidating and editing departmental input.
- Leasing with team members of other divisions on thematic issues.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Humanitarian Affairs, International Affairs, Law, Publications Development Studies, Communications or related discipline.
- Experience will also be considered in the absence of a Master’s degree.
- Strong background in research, analysis and English language editing.
- Computer literacy, especially database tools, statistical analysis and preparing complex charts and tables.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proven capacity in problem-solving and creative thinking.
- Ability to work effectively, accurately and concisely, including when working against sudden, tight and demanding deadlines.
- Practical experience of how to multi-task, prioritize and work independently.
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English; working knowledge of other languages is highly desirable.
