Handicap International (HI) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Program Manager in Amman, Jordan. The duration for the post is of 6 months.
HI is an independent charity working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster.
Key Jobs Responsibility
The Program Manager will perform the following functions-
- Under the line-management of the Operations Coordinator, and with the support of the technical, administration and logistics departments, you will be responsible for.
- Implementing the project’s activities in Amman, Zarqa (incl. Azraq Refugee camp) and Balqa governorates.
- Ensuring the continuous monitoring of the activities under your management.
- Supervising and managing the team under your responsibility.
- Coordinating with the technical, administration and logistics departments in order to ensure compliance with the mission’s standards and maximize the quality of the delivered assistance.
- Reporting on your project’s activities.
- Project management (40%) -Team Management (30%) -Representation (10%) -Coordination (10%) -Reporting (10%).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Academic background in project management and/or field related to HI programs (notably functional rehabilitation).
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in humanitarian context, preferably in emergency – Previous experience of project management is mandatory.
- Proven managerial experience.
- Proven representation experience.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Fluency in English mandatory (oral and written), Arabic would be a strong asset.
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
