The Global Poverty Project is currently accepting applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Digital Campaigner based in New York.
The Senior Digital Campaigner will manage the strategy for all of Global Citizen’s digital campaigns across a range of national and global issues.
Global Poverty Project is an international education and advocacy organization working towards the end of extreme poverty by 2030, best known as the curators of the Global Citizen content, events and campaigning platform.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Senior Digital Campaigner will perform the following functions-
- Serve as the lead digital campaigner at Global Citizen, managing digital campaign strategy and working closely with the Global Leadership Team to develop digital campaigns based on Global Citizen’s policy priorities
- Manage and oversee digital campaign execution, working closely with the Digital Campaigner (e.g., oversee the creation of creative content, campaign emails, monitoring of metrics, etc.)
- Oversee Global Citizen’s email list and communications; sign off on all emails; oversee all email testing and the email calendar
- Lead and manage the execution of reactive campaigning as events and moments arise in the news cycle
- Serve as point of contact with major NGO partners and all digital activities related to them
- Coordinate the overall partner campaigning calendar, working closely with digital team and Global Leadership Team.
- Coordinate the publication of content by major partners on Global Citizen’s platform, working closely with content and social teams.
- Approve campaign actions from major partners in accordance with guidelines
- Participate as a member on the Global Citizen editorial committee, overseeing the creation of daily content and identifying opportunities to include digital actions
- Collect, analyze, and report metrics around digital campaigns to the internal team and to relevant partners
- Report to Senior Manager – Digital
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- 5 years of experience that includes a combination of:
- Online campaigning/organizing with a focus on recruitment and engagement
- Rapid response email and social media campaigning online media strategy
- Experience developing campaigns from concept through execution
- Experience managing junior campaigners
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Knowledge and execution of best practices in online organizing
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines, and stay organized to get a campaign out the door
- Collaborative style and hard work ethic
- Experience working in a dynamic team environment
- Deep experience in coordinating with multiple teams across multiple partners
- Fluent in digital campaigning metrics, with the ability to know how to collect and analyze data
- Able to facilitate strategic and tactical decision-making on a day-to-day basis
