Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Programme Officer in Paris, France. The duration for the post is of 12 months.
The Programme Officer will report to the Head of IPEEC Secretariat and have a key support role working with a small team of enthusiastic professionals in a collegial, dynamic and busy environment.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Programme Officer will perform the following functions-
- Act as the IPEEC contact point for the task Groups under the G20 Energy Efficiency Action Plan, and other IPEEC Task Groups.
- Current G20 Task Groups address the promotion of energy efficiency in the following sectors: vehicles, energy efficiency finance, smart appliances, buildings, management of energy in the industry, and electricity generation.
- Other IPEEC Task Groups collaborate on energy efficiency Indicators, Capacity Building and Training, International energy-efficiency projects, and identification of best practices in energy efficiency policies.
- Advise Task Groups on G20 processes and meetings. Support them in the execution of their work plan to achieve their objectives.
- Quickly and proactively assess and respond to the needs and timeframes of Task Groups and of the G20 Presidency.
- Prepare, format and edit IPEEC documents, presentations and speeches to the G20. Address appropriately countries’ positions and comments on IPEEC’s reports to the G20. Synthesize countries’ diverging views, while supporting Task Groups’ objectives.
- Monitor the content of Task Group work, assist with the exchange and dissemination of findings and recommendations (through teleconferences), as well as enhancing awareness of achievements (through dissemination of reports for example).
- Support the broader activities of IPEEC through analytical, written and verbal contributions, development of content and briefs on all aspects of international collaboration in energy efficiency for IPEEC Web site and social media.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new Task Groups decided by IPEEC Member.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Advanced university degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, in political science, economics or relevant technical subjects.
- 3 to 7 years of relevant professional experience dealing with energy efficiency policies currently implemented in IPEEC member economies, and in policies and measures in appliances, buildings, industry, transport, electricity generation, and energy efficiency finance.
- Relevant experience in energy efficiency and its relationship to climate change and energy policy.
- Experience of working in Government, or in multilateral negotiations.
- Familiarity with G20 Task Groups, processes and meetings is highly desirable.
- Contacts with G20 national delegates, and relevant government agencies, are also a strong advantage.
- Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.
