The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Monitoring and Evaluation Associate, based in Kampala, Uganda.
UNDP works in more than 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Monitoring and Evaluation Associate will perform the following functions-
- Develop the capacity of the implementing and responsible parties to monitor project baselines and indicators per the project document as updated by the M&E consultant;
- Support the implementing and responsible parties evaluate project’s impact using the impact evaluation methodology;
- Support the key partners develop and manage their M&E project plans;
- Ensure timeliness of project data collection and analysis;
- Prepare project briefs to inform decision making on project targets and outputs.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- An advanced post-graduate university degree in a subject related to climate change and/or environmental management;
- Training in Business Administration will be an added advantage;
- At least 7 years’ experience with M&E and impact evaluation in developing countries;
- Proven experience in conducting monitoring and evaluation in an early warning project;
- Proven experience in report writing and drafting;
- Excellent ability to communicate in English both written and spoken.
