ICAP at Columbia University is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Strategic Information (SI) Nursing Evaluation Specialist in New York, United States.
The Strategic Information (SI) Nursing Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of GNCBP assessments and evaluations in multiple countries throughout Africa in line with donor guidance and priorities.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Strategic Information (SI) Nursing Evaluation Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Coordinate the planning, design and implementation of GNCBP evaluations and routine data collection activities.
- Develop evaluation work plans and monitor progress to ensure compliance with project timelines.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocols, and training manuals.
- Liaise with, support, and coordinate country teams and consultants to ensure timely completion of assessment activities and collection of high quality data, including field visits.
- Support ad hoc data requests from HQ nursing team.
- Provide technical assistance to country teams to ensure assessments are conducted in accordance with protocols, standard operating procedures and other appropriate institutional regulations, procedures, and policies.
- Manage submissions of protocols to institutional review boards when applicable.
- Coordinate the recruitment, training, and management of data collection staff as needed.
- Ensure that the data collection staff adheres to principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ethics of human subject’s research.
- Coordinate data collection, data quality assurance, and data management.
- Support data analysis and preparation of donor reports, manuscripts and publications.
- Require international travel of up to four (4) trips per year with each trip lasting approximately 10 – 14 days.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- MPH or MSN degree.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in HIV-related or similar public health program evaluation and/or research experience.
- Demonstrated and successful experience coordinating multiple evaluations simultaneously.
- Demonstrated and successful experience with development of IRB submissions, study protocols, and SOPs.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated and successful experience working in multi-cultural environments.
- Demonstrated and successful experience working independently and as part of a team with strong problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated and successful experience in training and supervising data collection teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience with statistical sampling, data collection methodologies, database design and management
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Fluency in French or Portuguese is a strong advantage.
