The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking application from eligible candidates for the post of Social Development Specialist for its Urban Development and Water Division the position to be located at ADB headquarter Manila, Philippines.
The key responsibilities of Principal Director
The Principal Director will Lead, manage, and direct the planning and implementation of the Office of Information Systems and Technology’s (OIST’s) vision, goals, strategies and work plan in support of overall ADB goals, and ensure efficiency, relevance and impact of IT for ADB operations.
Manage the office’s human resource and staff management issues, including recruitment, performance management, training, and conflict resolution.
Ensure IT security and business continuity are adequately addressed.
Work with senior management to match ADB-wide IT needs with the Office’s resource availability and efficiently allocate budget and resources.
Eligibility Criteria
Advanced degree in engineering, IT, science, or equivalent, combined with specialized experience in similar organization/s.
Relevant Experience
- Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned at the required level.
- Substantive and relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated technical and diplomatic skills to liaise and work effectively with Board and senior staff members in the ADB, as well as external agencies including other multilaterals.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- International experience working in several countries.
