The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Project Assistant, based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
UNOPS mission is to serve people in need by expanding the ability of the United Nations, governments and other partners to manage projects, infrastructure and procurement in a sustainable and efficient manner.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Project Assistant will perform the following functions-
- Support UNORCID team to ensure effective project planning and implementation focusing on achievement of the following results:
- Compiles, summarizes, and presents basic information/data on specific project and related topics or issues.
- Reviews project documents for completeness and compliance with relevant rules and procedures prior to submission for final approval and signature; identifies inconsistencies; distributes project documents to relevant parties upon approval.
- Implement project standard operating procedures in line with government and UN regulations.
- Support to the effective reporting on progress of project implementation
- Support to the preparation of periodic work plans, meetings and operational of UNORCID/UN-REDD’s gender program.
- Provision of general office assistance such as response to simple information requests and inquiries; reviews, logs and routes incoming correspondence; establishment of filling system and maintenance files/records; organization of meetings, workshops; routine administrative tasks, including maintaining attendance records, assessing telephone billing, etc.
- Support strategic partnerships and communication
- Support in updating database of the relevant public and development partners private sector, civil society and other stakeholders who are counterparts for the project.
- In coordination with the Communication unit and other relevant counterpart communications department, support documentation of the project activities as a tool to communicate results, deepen stakeholder knowledge and buy-in to the project, and resource mobilization for the project.
- Supports knowledge building and knowledge sharing focusing on achievement of the following results:
- Participation in the trainings for UNORCID staff.
- Contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Diploma with minimum 4 (four) years experiences is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social studies or related fields may be in lieu of the required experience.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, etc.)
- Experience working in the UN system is preferable.
- Experience working in the development and/or REDD+ areas is preferable.
- Strong team works skill.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
