World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Evaluation Officer in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Evaluation Officer will be responsible for conducting evaluations for IOD as defined by the Internal Oversight Charter.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Evaluation Officer will perform the following functions-
- Design, prepare and carry out in-depth evaluations of selected WIPO programs or activities and write the related evaluation reports, ensuring UNEG and other relevant standards are met.
- Assist WIPO program managers in monitoring the implementation of recommendations following the evaluation of programs and activities under their direction; monitor, evaluate and report on their implementation.
- Oversee the work of more junior evaluation unit staff and experts hired by WIPO to carry out evaluations of selected WIPO programs, themes or activities.
- Participate actively and promote capacity building in evaluation work within the Organization (e.g. through training and workshops) and externally (e.g. United Nations Evaluation Group UNEG and Geneva Evaluation Network GEN).
- Contribute, as required, to the other oversight activities (audit and investigation).
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- First-level university degree in management, social sciences or a related discipline.
- At least six years of relevant professional experience in conducting evaluations, of which a minimum of three years in an international environment.
- Experience in conducting evaluations in an organization of the United Nations system or other international organization.
- Excellent knowledge of and skills in evaluation techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective partnerships and working relations in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
- Demonstrated ability to take decisions under pressure and to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to exercise sound and expert judgment, initiative and discretion and handle confidential and sensitive material.
- Knowledge of project management in international organizations.
- Familiarity with intellectual property administration.
- Familiarity with project management and documentation programs and tools.
- Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English.
- Good knowledge of French or other official UN language.
