The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Programme Quality & Grants Manager in Kyiv, Ukraine. The duration of this post is 6 months.
The Programme Quality & Grants Manager will play the leading role in the management of reporting compliance for programmes and a key role in the development of programme/project proposals.
DRC is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1956 that works in more than 30 countries throughout the world, by fulfilling its mandate of providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations – refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs) and host communities in the conflict areas of the world.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Programme Quality & Grants Manager will perform the following functions-
- Maintain and communicate grants management tools, including monthly output tracker, donor portfolio table, and monthly action plan.
- Ensure all donor and internal reporting deadlines are met and preparations for reporting are performed in due time.
- Collect, review and edit donor and internal reports and ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.
- Enter relevant data into the DRC/DDG Grants Management System (GMS).
- Counterpart for HQ on all grants management related issues.
- Conduct trainings within Grants Management and GMS to anchor these roles within the Programme (donor guidelines, GMS practical trainings).
- Facilitate registration of projects implemented in Ukraine with relevant governmental bodies.
- Support programmes/projects to ensure that implementation follows donor guidelines and expectations.
- Represent DRC/DDG field activities at national-level cluster and other relevant inter-agency meetings, as required.
- In close contact with HQ, the DRC and DDG Heads of Programmes, and Heads of Offices, modify HQ implementing partner criteria for the Ukrainian context and guide field offices in the implementation of the criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Masters degree, in international relations or a social science field, or comparable experience.
- Excellent written English skills are essential.
- Proven prior experience with donor report and/or proposal writing with an international organization.
- Knowledge of United States, European Union, United Kingdom, and United Nations donor requirements and procedures.
- Knowledge and experience of designing and rolling out M&E and accountability systems and tools in a humanitarian context.
- High-level of knowledge and practice with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. required.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to determine priorities and respect deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with good multi-tasking abilities and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Willingness to travel extensively to the field.
- Good sense of humor and stress management skills.
- DRC/DDG experience.
- Russian/Ukrainian language skills.
- Previous work experience in the former Soviet Union.
