Handicap International (HI) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Physiotherapist – Rehabilitation Trainer in Ukraine. The duration for the post is of 2.5 months.
HI is an independent charity working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster.
Key Jobs Responsibility
The Physiotherapist – Rehabilitation Trainer will perform the following functions-
- With support of HI team continue identification of relevant health facilities in need of technical support.
- Technical assessments of health facilities and developing tailored action plan for support to each health facility in terms of training and needs of rehabilitation equipment.
- Implementation of rehabilitation support to health facilities, including organizing training, donation of assistive devices and addressing other identified needs.
- Designing technical tools, trainings, leaflets and other relevant documents and disseminating them among the mission upon prior validation of HQ Technical Referents.
- Developing protocols for early rehabilitation care to be provided for persons with injuries, in collaboration with targeted health facilities and other HI technical staff.
- Providing training on early rehabilitation care for war wounded (Develop training module, ensure coherence of training with Ukrainian rehab protocols, provision of training).
- Provide and prepare additional shorter training sessions depending on the needs and possibilities within the targeted health facilities.
- Regularly reporting on the above activities (statistic, weekly situation report, regular review of monthly objectives, etc.) as per requested by your line manager and the HQ desk team.
- Monitoring and maintaining compliance with standard HI guidelines related to your field of expertise, ensuring the technical relevance and quality of HI intervention.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Degree diploma in Physiotherapy.
- At least 3 years of experience in trauma management.
- Experience as Project Manager (NGO) is an asset.
- Experience as trainer of adult in field of experience.
- Previous experience in physiotherapy of persons with injuries in conflict situation (experience of war wounded care management, mandatory) with INGOs.
- Experience in the region (especially working within a similar healthcare and educational system) would be a strong asset.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
- Ability to work under high pressure.
- Russian speaker is a strong asset; English mandatory (oral and written).
