The Microinsurance Innovation Facility (MIF) has issued a call for applications for a capacity building intern to be placed in Geneva, Switzerland from 15 March to 14 September 2011.
This internship will support the activities of the Facility’s Consulting & Capacity Building Programme.
Qualifications
- Education: Commercial school or university degree
- Experience: At least two years’ of professional experience.
- Languages: Excellent knowledge of English and ability to draft and finalize documents.
Competencies: The incumbent must be an agile thinker and a quick learner who is resourceful, takes initiatives, provides quality service to both internal and external clients and is results‐oriented. S/he must have the ability to:
- be a resourceful help by producing quality outputs on schedule
- research available resources, track & organize results, obtain authorization to post material and draw up summaries of each resource
- use MS Office and email
- organise and prioritize own work, meet deadlines, work independently and request clarifications where necessary
- proactively identify and solve problems through reasoning
- contribute to continuous quality improvement through proactive review of processes, trouble‐shooting and implementing appropriate changes to existing processes
- create, maintain, search and retrieve information from databases and compile reports
- draft documents and update
