Applications are invited from the qualified candidates for the post of Senior International Expert in Refrigerator, MDI, Solvents, Halons at UNDP. This is home-based job and duration of initial contract is 2 years for a maximum of 40 days over two years. Candidates should have proficiency in English and Spanish.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Masters Degree in Chemistry, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Working experience of at least 15 years in research, development or in the implementation of MP refrigeration, halons, solvents, and or MDI projects. Experience in more than one sector is an asset.
- Profound knowledge of Montreal Protocol related issues: Policies and Agreements;
- Knowledge of refrigeration, halons, solvents and/or MDI equipment use and installation and in retrofit. Knowledge in more than one sector is an asset.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English.

- Educational and Professional Background: 70%
- Engineering or Relevant Degree: up to 5 points
- Advanced degree in relevant discipline: up to 5 points
- Working experience of at least 15 years in refrigeration: up to 5 points
- Working experience of 15 years or more in solvents: up to 5 points
- Working experience of 15 years or more in halons: up to 5 points
- Working experience of 15 years or more in MDI: up to 5 points
- Knowledge in MDI equipment, installation, retrofit: up to 5 points
- Knowledge in halons equipment, installation, retrofit: up to 5 points
- Knowledge in solvents equipment, installation, retrofit: up to 5 points
- Knowledge in refrigeration equipment, installation, retrofit: up to 5 points
- Knowledge Montreal Protocol and Multilateral Funds issues: up to 10 points
- Knowledge about UNDP procurement rules and procedures: up to 10 points
- Proficiency in English: 10
