The location of this job will be based in Melbourne, Australia, or other international locations.Please note that this is regular full-time family post.
Purpose of Position
The IT Security Advisor for Application Security will work closely with Global Information and Communication Technology (GICT) and Partnership-wide application development teams to guide the design, creation, testing, implementation, and maintenance of secure custom and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications at World Vision. This individual will also be a key contributor in the selection, adoption, and implementation of industry leading secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of the secure development and deployment of both custom and COTS applications
- A high proficiency level in specific job related skills is required.
- Typically requires 7 – 10 years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to programming methodologies and languages.
- Over 5 years’ experience designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining secure applications at the enterprise level.
- Recommended Security Certification (i.e., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manage (CISM), or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC).
