Applications are invited by CARE USA from qualified and experienced candidates for the job/vacancy of Chief of Party. The locations of this position will be based in Niamey in Niger with travel up to 30%.Please note this is a full time, accompanied – family position is for a period of 5 years.
Required Qualifications
- BA degree in International development or other relevant field.
- At least 7 years of experience working in shelter or community development, preferred work experience in West African region.
- Minimum 5 years in senior management position.
- Experience in designing, managing and implementing emergency programs in a post conflict setting.
- Proven capacity to effectively manage and mentor staff with various levels of skills and experience.
- Experience monitoring and evaluating critical activities.
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills.
- Fluent in French
- Ability to collaborate with people and organizations of diverse backgrounds; Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Desired Qualifications
- PhD/EdD degree preferred
