ACDI/VOCA is seeking applications from the eligible candidates for the position of Business Plan Development Specialist. The location of this assignment will be based in Ghana. Please note that this is a Volunteer Assignment .
Kukobila Nasia Farms requests volunteer assistance to formulate a strategic business plan for the group so that they can gain access to grant funds through the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA). The volunteer will help formulate and submit a business plan for approval to SADA that details the farms’ planned activities and operations. The assignment will last for approximately three weeks in country, in addition to preparation and research previous to departure. Travel and living expenses are covered.
Qualifications:
- University degree in business management or another related degree.
- Ten years’ experience in business plan development with a strong background in conducting trainings.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word and Powerpoint.
- The volunteer should be prepared to travel for long hours in a bad road network linking the farming communities in the region. He/she should also be prepared to live in these rural communities without internet, air-conditioning and other amenities. The volunteer must also be prepared to work under dry and hot weather conditions.
