The Peace and Justice Studies Association Awards are given to teachers, scholars, activists and other individuals who have made contributions towards peace and justice. The awards are presented in four categories of (1) social courage award, which is given for those promoting peace and non-violence in the face of political pressure and social struggle; (2) Peace Scholar of the Award for hard work in peace education (3) Outstanding Contribution to Peace Studies Award (4) Best Dissertation/Thesis of the Year Award for students.
Only nominations are invited and these can be submitted online. The selected award winners will be invited to receive the honor at the PJSA conference held every year. The deadline for receiving nominations is 7 August 2009. For more information, visit this link.
